"Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine": A Tribute to Bob Saget 2022 raises more than 1.2 Million

On Sept. 21, 2022, Event Co-chairs John Mayer, Kelly Rizzo, Jeff Ross, joined SRF Board Member, Susan Feniger to present Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine at the Beverly Wilshire in L.A. as a moving tribute to Bob Saget, raising more than $1.3M for the Scleroderma Research Foundation (SRF).

The signature fundraising event celebrated Saget’s work as a relentless champion for those affected by scleroderma, with some of the world’s most talented performers generously donating their time to help raise funds for the SRF’s scleroderma research and education programs.

Co-host Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the event, with John Mayer and Jeff Ross hosting the rest of the evening’s festivities while attendees enjoyed a gourmet dinner curated by celebrity chef Susan Feniger. Ross and Mayer introduced comedy performances by some long time friends of Bob’s; Howie Mandel, Kevin Nealon, and Joel McHale, who led the live auction.
Then Dave Chappelle took the stage for a surprise performance, which included a touching moment where he shared a final video message he received from Saget. Chappelle also invited Bill Burr (who was attending as a guest) to join him on stage for an impromptu riff that had the audience roaring. John Stamos and Mike Binder presented a moving tribute video honoring Bob’s legacy, followed by SRF Board Member Regina Hall who introduced an intimate musical performance by John Mayer.
It was an incredible and memorable night where we honored Bob’s 30 year legacy leading Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine by sharing love, laughter and incredible food… all to help find a cure for scleroderma.
